  • Juicy spelt bread with dried fruit & nuts!

    27 January, 2016 / 0 Comments

I have not photographed food for a while, other than the odd “food porn” for Instagram 😉  I tend to photograph food in a studio setting, with either a flash + soft-box or just natural light with some reflectors. This shoot was set up in natural window light and I used some canvases to bounce the light. I absolutely love healthy & weird food, I am always on the lookout for good recipes! I found one of a spelt (svenska: dinkel) bread with lots of dried fruit and nuts, and after I made it I knew it just had to be photographed! 😛 And OH MY it tastes really good…

  • Is RAW really better than JPG??

    22 January, 2016 / 0 Comments

Good question! Now, I am by no means an expert on the technical aspects of photography, but I discovered very quickly the obvious superiority of RAW over JPG (or JPEG, which is the same thing, just more letters 😉 ), when I bought my very first DSLR. It can be a little confusing at first, especially before you become comfortable with using Photoshop or some other editing software. So, what is the actual main difference between the JPG format and the RAW (for Nikon users: “NEF”)? In the camera they might look the same, but RAW files are, compared to JPGs, uncompressed and because of this, contain loads more information…

  • Frosty garden macro with phone camera 📱❄

    18 January, 2016 / 0 Comments

Even during this time of year the garden is beautiful, in it’s own sad, dry & droopy kind of way! 😊 Nature is sleeping under a duvet of frost and dead leaves, just waiting for the warmth of the sun and the opportunity to grow again! But spring is not arriving for a good while yet, still it’s not impossible to enjoy the garden or outdoors while we wait. For theese pictures I used the macro- function on the Samsung 6, which has a great little camera when you’re on the go! Certainly the quality of the photos are much better than earlier models, although it depends on how you…

  • Walking the dog, ehm the cat!

    17 January, 2016 / 0 Comments

Winter has well and truly hit! Today it was roughly -14°c. ❄⛄ Those sort of temperatures tend to make the hairs in in my nose freeze to ice lol! It turns out at least one of the cats who occupie the house with us, actually likes the snow! Who would have thought? Ragnar is also pretty good at acting like a dog, ie I can take him for a walk..he followed me around, bounding through the snow, sat down and waited whilst I snapped some photos of him, and even tasted some of the white stuff.. 🐯😊

Happy New Year! Hope your holiday celebrations were satisfactory <3 I had a very quiet & peaceful Christmas, but I did definitely miss the snow, because there was not one flake of the white stuff on the ground! In fact, I think it was about 8+ degrees. And I supposedly live in Sweden…?! Well, in the last few days plenty of snow has fallen, so today me & the hubby took a long walk with the cameras, yay! If you recognize the name “Ramlösa” it’s probably because you have had a bottle of the mineral water with the same name. The water was originally sourced here, from underground wells. People…

  • Web page changes & brand new logo!

    10 November, 2015 / 0 Comments

As you might have noticed, I have been making some well needed changes to this page lately! I apologize if that means that the page has been slow to load, or if some functions are still missing. I will also be adding some more features & pages, including list of services and prizing, and my aim is to focus more on the blog and write about photography and design. A while back, I also decided to change my logo, and right now this one with the feather is what I have settled on! What do you think? It feels modern and a bit more..me? 😛 Don’t forget to order your…

Do you remember the Christmas calender show “The Mystery at Greveholm” (Mysteriet på Greveholm)?  It was the 1996 version of a long standing Swedish tradition, and it was actually set at the castle of Hjularöd in south Sweden. In the mid 90’s I was in my late teens, and therefore not particularly interested in the TV-calender that year. I think I managed to watch a couple of episodes though! OK, so if you’re not Swedish, I wouldn’t think you know about this popular Swedish Christmas tradition. It is a TV show that is made new every year, along side other advent celebrations, as a count down to Christmas. The “Mystery…

  • Waiting for snow?

    17 January, 2015 / 0 Comments

I am a great believer in seasons. I like it when a season has it’s corresponding weather, so right now it should really be winter, at least in the northern hemisphere!? But where is it? We are going towards the end of January and so far we have had only one day of snow here, in the south of Sweden. It was a wee dusting of the white stuff, so not much at all! Some people do not like snow and especially not when it’s cold – but I enjoy it. I am asthmatic, so cold weather for me is like a holiday for my lungs ha ha! So, while…

Doors. They are made from wood, iron, copper, stone, glass..and I love them! ♥ They can say something about the building to which they belong. I am a complete sucker for doors and windows alike, and always make a point of snapping a few photos of some wherever I go. But today I’m just going to show you some of the many doors I have photographed. What do I love about them? They come in so many shapes and forms, and can speak volumes about who lives on the other side – or what the building is used for, if it’s a public building. Who or what is on the…
